The authorisation covers supplying games and platforms to operators, functioning as a domestic permission that does not passport abroad. Application fee is EUR 5,000 under Gaming Licence Fees Regulations (S.L. 583.03). Ongoing annual fees are EUR 25,000 when annual revenue is <= EUR 5,000,000, EUR 30,000 for revenue between EUR 5,000,000 and EUR 10,000,000, and EUR 35,000 when exceeding EUR 10,000,000, while authorisations restricted solely to Type 4 games incur EUR 10,000. Under Directive 3 of 2018 art. 37(2)(a), any acquisition or increase in a qualifying shareholding of 10% or more of equity, voting rights, or control requires notification to MGA within 3 working days of the transaction. A complete corporate change filing must follow via LRMS within 30 days alongside a EUR 1,500 fee. All new qualifying shareholders and UBOs undergo source-of-funds verification and fit-and-proper checks. Transfers of licences between distinct legal entities are prohibited except within the same corporate group with prior written approval under S.L. 583.05 reg. 17.
